CAD/BIM TECHNICIAN

F3 is currently interviewing for BIM technicians to produce high-definition drawings and visual representations of design-build and as-built projects for builders, engineers and others involved.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of F3 & Associates project manager(s).
  • Analyze and interpret engineering drawings and or field sketches; perform light mathematical calculations and utilize various AutoCAD programs and reference tools to complete assignments.
  • Process point cloud data.
  • Prepare and convert survey and engineering data into 2D and or 3D drawings.
  •  Complete assignments and projects within assigned time frame.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients to ensure that quality and accuracy commitments are met.

Credentials:

  • Must be proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD programs with three (3) years of CAD drafting experience.
  • Strong communication skills and organized with an acute attention to detail.
  • A desire to work in a team environment.
  •  Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Work and Excel.

OFFICE MANAGER FOR BIM & 3D SCANNING SERVICES

F3 is currently interviewing for a hands-on manager that will recruit and develop a team of CAD/BIM technicians that produce high-definition drawings of design-build and as-built projects.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train and support a team of CAD/BIM technicians, including assigning tasks, managing project deadlines and quality control on deliverables.
  • Document procedures, workflows and best practices for data post-processing and modeling.
  • Work with project managers to assist in RFP process, including budget estimates for potential projects.
  • Work and consult with clients conveying the value of the services provided by F3.
  • Monitor industry trends and stay apprised of available and evolving CAD/BIM platforms, ensuring technicians are utilizing the latest and best solutions available.
  • Perform CAD/BIM technician duties on an as needed basis/strategic projects (i.e. manager who will also roll up his/her sleeves).

Credentials:

  • Experience in hiring, training and managing other CAD/BIM professionals.
  • Must be proficient with Autodesk programs with five (5) years of CAD/BIM experience.
  • Experience in developing and documenting workflows, and overseeing the implementation of such throughout an organization.
  • Self-motivator that gets things done.
  • Strong communication skills and organized with an acute attention to detail.
  • A desire to work in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Work and Excel.

GPR FIELD TECHNICIAN

F3 is currently interviewing for GPR Field Technicians to assist in the deliver of concrete inspection and underground utility locating services to clients.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Work under the direction of F3 & Associates project manager(s).
  • Must be able to learn how to use GPR equipment and other equipment to complete GPR projects.
  • Previous GPR experience is preferred, but not necessary (training will be provided).
  • Various office tasks include equipment and vehicle maintenance, kick off meetings and project management.
  • Complete assignments and projects within assigned time frame.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients to ensure that quality and accuracy commitments are met.

 Requirements:

  • Must have a good driving record, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Strong communication skills with clients, and organized with an acute attention to detail.
  • Must be self-motivated and very professional with a strong work ethic.
  • Physical strength and endurance to perform field work.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions on small to large construction sites.

FIELD SURVEY TECHNICIAN

This person will be a member of a survey crew and assist in operating survey equipment on large scale projects in petrochemical, commercial construction, and industrial environments. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of field notes, layout coordination and calculation sheets.
  • Ability to perform survey field work safely, and work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong work ethic and accountability.

Experience:

  • One year of field survey experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiar with relevant equipment such as Trimble Robotic Total Station, digital and conventional levels, Leica 3D scanners, and related software applications is preferred.
  • Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for mapping desirable but not required.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good math and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to make decisions with the company’s best interest in mind.
  • Demonstrate a professional manner while communicating with co-workers and clients.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable at the firm’s standard rates and pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen.
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  •  Willing to travel is a plus.

LAND SURVEYOR / PARTY CHIEF

This position will be in charge of operating survey equipment on large projects in petrochemical, commercial construction, and industrial environments. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of field notes, layout coordination and calculation sheets.
  • Manage survey crews and projects.
  • Ability to perform survey field work, and work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Coordinate findings of work with construction and engineering personnel, and others concerned with a project.
  • Brief project managers on projects as they are being completed.

Experience:

Three years minimum of field surveying including topography and construction staking.  3D laser scanning experience is a plus.

  • Familiar with relevant equipment such as Trimble Robotic Total Station, digital and conventional levels, Leica 3D scanners, and related software applications.
  • Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for mapping desirable but not required.
  • Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification is a plus.
